I decided to become a Nutritionist because I've always had a passion about taking care of the one body you have been given. There is some truth to that old saying "you are what you eat". When you're young, you can get away with a poor diet, but as you get into your 30's and beyond, that's when good nutrition really starts to matter.
There are so many social media pages and celebrities that jump on the supposed latest and greatest diet bandwagon. These often involve restricting entire food groups from your diet, with absolutely no proven evidence behind them, and practically set you up for failure. This creates a cycle of feeling like you've failed, followed by trying a different restrictive diet, followed by failure to adhere to such unreasonable diets. I want to share my knowledge and passion of eating well with you and show you how to have a healthy relationship with food without unrealistic restrictions.
I have taught fitness classes for 30 years (and still enjoy doing so to this day), and have trained clients for over 10 years, and I know first hand how important movement is for both the body and the mind.
I'm a firm believer that if you don't make the time to look after your long term health, then you'll eventually be forced make the time for future illness/es that may have been avoidable.
I want to show you that you don't necessarily need a gym membership to get an effective workout. I can advise you on simple, time effective exercises that you can do in the comfort of your home or outdoors, and in your own time. And if you do regularly visit the gym, I can help you tweak your program so that it stays fresh and ensure it's the best type of program for your goals.
For those who are very active, it's important to have your dietary intake analysed to ensure you are meeting all the demands and requirements that you are asking of your body.
